Cassie Kramer has been with Ascend Bookkeeping since its inception in September 2019. With a passion for helping clients achieve their business goals, she specializes in analyzing a business’s current financial state and crafting effective, repeatable processes that drive results.
In her free time, Cassie enjoys reading, cooking, playing the piano, and embarking on adventures with her family. Her advice to clients? “Know that you aren’t alone. Finances can be difficult to discuss, and it’s natural to feel self-conscious. We’re here not to judge, but to help you achieve your goals.”

Ryan Kramer
Ryan Kramer has been with Ascend Bookkeeping since July 2022. His favorite part of working at Ascend is helping clients grow and exceed their goals. With a passion for technology and procedure, Ryan specializes in streamlining processes to benefit both the team and clients.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys adventuring, playing video games, exploring new technology, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. His advice to clients is clear: “Budget is not a scary or negative thing, but a tool to use on your path to financial freedom. Mastering your financials is the gateway to amplifying your success. So make it a priority.”

Sharon Volmer
Sharon Volmer has been with Ascend Bookkeeping since January 2021, starting with her first bookkeeping client that same month. She loves the variety of clients Ascend serves and finds great satisfaction in helping them achieve peace of mind by ensuring their financial data is well-organized and accurate.
Sharon excels at making complex financial information easy to understand for clients. Whether she's training clients to handle some of their own bookkeeping or unraveling complicated data into simple, clear explanations, her ability to clarify financial details is a key strength.
In her free time, Sharon enjoys watching her daughter play volleyball, spending time with her family, reading, and volunteering at her church. Her advice to clients is straightforward: “Keep up with your financial transactions monthly. It’s much easier to remember details and find backup for transactions within a few weeks rather than 3 to 5 months down the road.”

Ashley Nusink
Ashley Nusink has been a part of Ascend Bookkeeping since July 2023. Her favorite aspect of working with Ascend is being part of an incredible team where she’s learned so much from her colleagues. As a Junior Bookkeeper, Ashley excels at providing support and efficiently completing tasks to keep things running smoothly.
Outside of work, Ashley loves spending time with her little boy, taking him to fun places, and enjoying family time. She also has a passion for baking, reading, and going for walks. Her advice to clients? “Don’t mix personal and business transactions... but if you do, we know how to help!”
HR CONSULTANT
Ron Kramer
Ron Kramer joined Ascend Bookkeeping in early 2024 after retiring from a 44-year career in full-time Human Resource Management. Now serving as an HR consultant for Ascend and its various HR clients, Ron continues to apply his extensive expertise across multiple HR disciplines. This role allows him to stay engaged in his field while enjoying his retirement.
In his free time, Ron enjoys volunteering for his church and community, traveling, and spending time with his three kids and nine grandkids. His advice to employers is simple yet profound: “Take good care of your employees, and they will take good care of your business interests.”
